In the week beginning Monday 22nd June 2020, Pope Francis contributed to the 'BBC Rethink' episodes focusing on how society and our individual lives might change for the better after the 'Covid-19 crisis'. He spoke in an interview with his biographer Austen Ivereigh, '...we have lost the contemplative dimension, we have to get it back......we need to reconnect with our real surroundings. This is an opportunity for conversion'.
How might we respond to this call from the Holy Father for 'conversion' and for 're-connection'? With our interest in Carmelite Spirituality, and the centrality of 'contemplation' within the Carmelite charism, how might we encourage 'time for integrity' in a post-Covid world?
